As believers we understand the importance of discipleship. We realize that as a part of the Great Commission our mission field is both near and far. There is an enormous need in our local communities to spread the love of Christ. We understand that our work isn’t done when someone is added to the kingdom of heaven. In fact, this is when our work as the body of Christ begins.
Why Do We Need You?
If you look back at your own journey, I am sure you can pinpoint specific people God brought into your life who invested in you personally to either bring you to Christ or helped you grow in your Christian walk. This most likely happened in a smaller setting or a one-on-one friendship.
As a Community Connections leader you have the great privilege and opportunity to invest in other people’s lives and hopefully develop life-long friendships along the way.
Your Attitude, Not Your Ability, Makes You Qualified.
Remember that God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called. God is looking for a spiritual leader that:
- a) Is able to give and receive Scriptural correction without offense (Proverbs 19:20-21)
- b) Desires to serve rather than be served (Philippians 2:3-11)
- c) Follows spiritual leadership within Scriptural guidelines (Hebrews 13:17)
- d) Helps reconciliation when conflict arises (Matthew 5:21-26)
- e) Is a man or woman of their word (Matthew 12:33-37)
Is this You? Are you willing to invest in someone walk with Christ? Are you willing to step out of your comfort zone? Great…now here comes the super easy part!
