Roxanne Richardson is nothing if not determined and her life story is peppered with grace. The small-town girl from Floyds Knobs, Ind., got her start in radio in Chicago while in college and immediately fell in love with the immediacy of covering news. “I worked seven days a week, 15 hours a day and still almost starved to death,” she says of her early days in various stations around the Midwest. After losing a job at a station in Indianapolis, Roxanne packed her car and headed to Austin, Texas, where she walked into KASE 101 and told the owner he needed to hire her. “I came back with a story by the end of the day,” she remembers. “He told me I wasn’t very good, but he gave me a chance because I had lots of determination.”
By 1990, Roxanne found herself in Birmingham working as the news director at Rock 99. Over the years she was the news director on 14 different shows in the Birmingham market and is most known for her time on the Rick and Bubba Show.
Once Roxanne came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she became radically saved and left radio to work for The Dream Center for The Church of the Highlands, an outreach center in Woodlawn, Ala. After a guest appearance on WDJC discussing her ministry, Roxanne was approached by the station to join the morning show. “The Lord prompted me to share real life stories and to share what I’ve seen,” she says. “I absolutely love what we do, sharing stories with local people and having a platform where we can talk about the good news of Jesus.” A registered chaplain, Roxanne has appeared on The 700 Club and The Fox News Network. She also has her own brand of coffee that benefits missionaries to China.
On Saturday, Many 11th, at 10:00am, The Revival Center is hosting Roxanna Richardson for our annual Mother’s Day Brunch. This catered event is open to all mothers and daughters and the cost per person $12 per person. If you wish to attend, you can CLICK HERE to register and reserve your spot.
It is that time of year where we honor the special women in our lives we call “Mom”. On May 12th, during both of our morning services, we will be honoring all of the mothers that are with us. There will be impactful worship and a timely message. We can’t wait to honor you, Mom!
Make plans to be a part of our 6th annual Missions Golf Tournament on Saturday June 1st. This 2 man scramble event, held at Sylacauga Country Club, includes a $15,000 hole in one prize amongst other hole in one prizes.

Our church membership has voted unanimously to move forward with the building of our new 13,000 square foot Family Life Center. This building will provide a new children’s church room and a larger nursery for our kids in addition to a new fellowship hall, kitchen, and classrooms. We at the Revival Center are excited for what God is doing in our midst. We are breaking ground on April 14th @ 10:00am between our 8:30am and 11:00am services and would love for you to join us as we pray over and bless the construction phase.
