Paula Cooper is leading this incredible opportunity to touch the lives of many who are currently incarcerated. This Community Connection group will take us into the pods of inmates where we can build relationships, teach them about God’s grace, forgiveness, and mercy, and show them the love of Jesus.
Above all else, jail ministry is a shower of blessings for all those involved. You can experience the wonder and joy of leading people to Christ and seeing them start their lives over in ways productive to society and pleasing to God. You see prayers answered in timely and miraculous ways, strengthening your personal prayer life. You experience complete dependence on God for ministry success after realizing that nothing lasting happens in prison through purely human effort and striving. You come to understand deep down inside the awful nature and consequences of sin and the unique role of Christ in creating new creatures. Jail ministry shows us why indeed we’re all brothers and sisters united in Christ.
This Community Connection group will be ministering every 1st Saturday & 2nd Sunday of the month from 1:30-3:30pm, as well as, every 3rd Tuesday at 7pm.
All group participants must complete an application & background check, as well as, mandatory training at the Shelby County jail on March 23 at 9:00am. If you would like to register for this Community Connection Group, click here!
