Revival Academy of Worship

What We’re About:

The Revival Academy of Worship (RAW) is a Christ-centered ministry that aims to turn raw musical talent into a practiced and worshipful skill. Our goal is to equip and prepare students to understand the basic principles of music theory, to use those principles in real world applications, and to gain a deeper understanding of what worship really is – all while learning to skillfully handle the instrument(s) that each student is passionate about.

We want to inspire and entrust the gift of skillful worship to our students.

” Sing to him a new song;
    play skillfully, and shout for joy. “

– Psalm 33:3 (NIV)

Who We Are:

 Zach Cooper

Zach Photo

Zach Cooper teaches all levels of acoustic, electric (both rhythm and lead), and bass guitar. He also teaches beginner and intermediate level drums.

Zach grew up in Costa Rica, the oldest son of missionaries Jeff and Danette Cooper. Before they became missionaries, Zach took guitar lessons – which ignited his passion for worship and music. Years later, Zach was approached with the idea to build a team that would raise up new musicians and worshippers – thus, RAW was born.

Josh Sims

Josh Sims teaches all levels of piano/keyboard.

Josh grew up in Vincent, Al and has been a part of the Revival Center since he was little. His passion for music surfaced when he was very young, and he has followed that passion his entire life. Josh has an extensive understanding of music theory and is a very accomplished pianist.
