As I was preparing for this blog the Lord laid on my heart to heavily pray for Israel. With that being said, this blog post will be a little different. When I think about all that is happening in Israel right now I can not imagine putting myself in their shoes, but what I can do is pray. So will you join me and pray for all of those that are being affected by this terrible attack?
Lord, we do not understand all that is happening right now but You do! “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” This did not come as a surprise to You, as You know all!
I come to You now as a mother; a mother who can not imagine all that is going on in Israel. A mother whose heart breaks for those that don’t know if they will ever see their babies alive again. Father, I ask that You will touch those mothers and fill them with a sense of peace and comfort. Give their hearts and minds a break Father, allow them to rest because You know the ending of this chapter! I pray that You will send each one a reminder that no matter how much they love their children, You love them even more!
I come to You now as a wife. As many of us sit in excitement for our husbands to come home, some are sitting in a closet praying that theirs would return! I pray that You will remind them that they are not alone! Just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, You are right there in that fire with them! Let them know that You go before them and You have already seen what their futures have in store for them. I pray for the safety of their husbands, that they will return home, and that they will be able to minister to their families through these battles they are currently facing! Allow this battle to be nothing more than a testimony of Your glory!
I come to You now as a daughter. There are little girls that are terrified right now, Father. I pray that You would touch their hearts and let them know You are their ultimate Father! You are the Maker of Heaven and Earth and You have the ending reign! I pray that You will shine a light on those who don’t know You and show them that there is Hope! I pray that You will strengthen the faith of those who do believe through this tragedy!
I pray that You will remind all of those who believe in You that You have already won this battle; and I pray that all of those who are lost will find their hope in You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“He has remembered His love and His faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.” –Psalm 98:3
