Day 1

Faith Fact
Jesus is my Hope.

Faith Verse
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
John 8:12

Read:
Matthew 8:13

“Then Jesus said to the centurion, ‘Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.’ And his servant
was healed at that moment.”  (Matthew 8:13)

The Centurion believed Jesus could help—even without being physically there. That’s incredible
faith! And Jesus honored it. The servant was healed instantly. Jesus wants us to know that putting
our hope in Him is never wasted.

Talk About It:
• Why do you think Jesus was amazed by the centurion’s faith?
• How does this story show us what hope in Jesus looks like?
• What do you need to believe Jesus for today?

Prayer Activity:
Each family member writes down one thing they’re asking Jesus to do. Fold them and place them in
a “Hope Box.” Pray over the box, asking Jesus to grow your faith like the centurion’s.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for showing us that our faith in You is never wasted. Help us to trust You completely, even when we can’t see You. Amen.

Day 2

Faith Fact
Jesus is my Hope.

Faith Verse
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
John 8:12

Read:
Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow
with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

Hope is like a cup being filled—so full it spills out onto others. When we trust Jesus, He fills our hearts
with joy and peace, even in tough times. And then that hope overflows to the people around us.

Talk About It:
• What does “overflowing with hope” look like?
• When has God filled you with peace when things were hard?
• How can we help others feel hope this week?

Prayer Activity:
Fill a cup to the top with water (in a tray). Slowly pour more until it overflows. As it spills over, talk
about how God’s hope can spill from us to others. Thank Him for being the God of hope.

Prayer:
Jesus, fill our hearts with Your joy and peace so our hope overflows to others. Help us to share Your love everywhere we go. Amen.

Day 3

Faith Fact
Jesus is my Hope.

Faith Verse
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
John 8:12

Read:
Jeremiah 29:11

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11)

When the Centurion asked for help, Jesus showed him that God’s plan was good—not just for the
servant, but for all who believe. God sees the big picture, even when we don’t, and His plans are
always filled with hope.

Talk About It:
• Why is it helpful to know that God has good plans for us?
• Have you ever had a plan that didn’t work out—but something better happened?
• What kind of future do you think God has planned for you?

Prayer Activity:
Draw a “hope path” together. Use markers or crayons to create a winding road with words along the
way like “peace,” “love,” “healing,” “joy.” Thank God for the good journey He’s leading your family on.

Prayer:
Thank You for having good plans for us, even when we don’t understand. Help us to trust that Your way is always filled with hope and love. Amen.

Day 4

Faith Fact
Jesus is my Hope.

Faith Verse
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
John 8:12

Read:
Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)

The centurion didn’t need to see Jesus heal the servant—he just believed it would happen. That’s
faith! Real faith gives us hope, even when we can’t see the outcome yet.

Talk About It:
• What’s the difference between seeing and believing?
• How can we trust Jesus with things we don’t understand yet?
• What are you hoping for right now?

Prayer Activity:
Blindfold one family member and gently guide them through the room. Then switch! Talk about how
faith is trusting, even when you can’t see. Pray for trust like the centurion had.

Prayer:
Jesus, help us to believe in You even when we can’t see what’s ahead. Give us strong faith that fills our hearts with hope and trust in Your power. Amen.

Day 5

Faith Fact
Jesus is my Hope.

Faith Verse
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
John 8:12

Read:
Psalm 33:22

“May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.” (Psalm 33:22)

God’s love never stops. And when we put our hope in Him, it’s not just a maybe—it’s a sure thing. His
love is the anchor that holds us steady, even when life feels stormy.

Talk About It:
• What does “unfailing love” mean?
• How does God’s love help you stay hopeful?
• When have you seen His love carry you through something hard?

Prayer Activity:
Create a “Hope Heart” poster. Write the word HOPE in the center and decorate it with drawings or
words that remind you of God’s love. Hang it where your family can see it all week.

Prayer:
Thank You for Your never-ending love that keeps us steady. Help us to hold on to You with hope and trust, no matter what comes our way. Amen.
