Day 1

Faith Fact
Jesus is my friend.

Faith Verse
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:5

Read:
“I no longer call you servants... Instead, I have called you friends.” (John 15:15)

Jesus didn’t come just to be a teacher or a king—He came to be our friend. That means He wants to
spend time with us, listen to us, and help us. Jesus invited His disciples into friendship, and He invites
us too!

Talk About It:
• What makes someone a good friend?
• How is Jesus different from any other friend?
• How can we be good friends to Jesus in return?

Prayer Activity:
Make a friendship circle by holding hands. Take turns thanking Jesus for being your friend and asking
Him to help you grow closer to Him.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for calling us Your friends. Amen.

Day 2

Faith Fact
Jesus is my friend.

Faith Verse
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:5

Read:
“They said, ‘Rabbi, where are you staying?’ ‘Come,’ he replied, ‘and you will see.’” (John 1:38b-39)

When John the Baptist pointed his followers to Jesus, they were curious. And Jesus didn’t push
them away—He welcomed them with an invitation to “Come and see.” Jesus still invites us to spend
time with Him and get to know Him personally.

Talk About It:
• Why do you think Jesus wanted them to come and see?
• What are some ways we can “come and see” who Jesus is?
• How can we help others get to know Him too?

Prayer Activity:
Set a special space in your home where you “meet” with Jesus this week—read a Bible story, pray, or
just sit quietly. Call it your “Come and See” space and invite Jesus into that moment with you.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for welcoming us, even in our curiosity. You don't push us away, instead You welcome us with open arms.  Amen.

Day 3

Faith Fact
Jesus is my friend.

Faith Verse
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:5

Read:
“Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the
Baptist …” (Matthew 11:11a)

Jesus had huge respect for John the Baptist, calling him one of the greatest. But what made John
great wasn’t fame or power—it was how he prepared people to meet Jesus and how humble he was.
Real friendship with Jesus changes how we think about greatness.

Talk About It:
• What made John the Baptist so special?
• How can we use our lives to help others get closer to Jesus?
• What does humility look like in your daily life?

Prayer Activity:
Write or draw one way you can be “great” by being humble this week. Pray and ask God to help you
put others first, just like John the Baptist did.

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, Thank You for making us a new person when we accept You into our hearts.  Amen.

Day 4

Faith Fact
Jesus is my friend.

Faith Verse
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:5

Read:
“He must become greater; I must become less.” (John 3:30)

John the Baptist wasn’t jealous when people followed Jesus. He was happy! He knew it was never
about him—it was always about Jesus. That’s what true friendship looks like: cheering each other on
and pointing people to Jesus.

Talk About It:
• Why was John the Baptist joyful when people followed Jesus?
• What does it mean to say, “He must become greater; I must become less”?
• How can you make Jesus “greater” in your life?

Prayer Activity:
Each person draws a small arrow pointing up. On it, write “Jesus > Me.” Tape it on a mirror to remind
yourselves that true joy comes when we lift Jesus higher.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for showing us grace upon grace. Thank You for the gift of salvation. Amen.

Day 5

Faith Fact
Jesus is my friend.

Faith Verse
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:5

Read:
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow
me.” (Luke 9:23b)

Friendship with Jesus means we follow Him—even when it’s hard. True friends stick together! Jesus
invites us to live for something bigger than ourselves, and He promises to be with us every step of
the way.

Talk About It:
• What does it mean to “take up your cross”?
• Why is friendship with Jesus worth everything?
• What helps you keep following Him each day?

Prayer Activity:
Draw footprints on paper. Inside each one, write something you’ll do this week to follow Jesus (e.g.,
show kindness, tell a friend about Him, read His Word). Lay the footprints down and pray, asking
Jesus to lead your steps.

Prayer:
Jesus, Thank You for not allowing our human mistakes to make you love us any less. Thank You for everything You do for us Amen.
