Day 1
Bible Reference: Genesis 6:11–22 and Hebrews 11:7
Faith: Trusting God and believing His promises, even when we can’t see what will happen.
Big Idea: Real faith helps us trust God when it doesn’t make sense!
Walking Closely with God
Read: Genesis 6:11–13, 22
Let’s Talk About It:
Have you ever felt like you were the only person doing the right thing? Maybe your friends were making bad choices, and you had to decide whether you would join them or do what you knew was right. That can be hard!
In Noah’s day, the world was full of people doing evil things. They were not living the way God wanted them to live. But Noah was different! The Bible tells us that Noah walked closely with God and lived in a way that pleased Him.
Noah didn’t let the choices of the people around him change his relationship with God. He kept trusting God and choosing to obey Him.
Because Noah walked closely with God, he listened when God spoke to him. God told Noah that a great flood was coming and that he needed to build a boat to save his family. Noah was able to hear and obey God because he had a relationship with Him.
We can walk closely with God, too! We do this by praying, reading our Bibles, worshiping Him, and choosing to obey what He teaches us. The closer we grow to God, the more we learn about who He is and how we can trust Him.
Remember: We can follow God even when the people around us make different choices!
Talk About It
1. What made Noah different from the people around him?
2. What are some ways our family can walk closely with God?
3. Is it always easy to do what is right when others are making different choices? Why or why not?
Family Challenge: Each family member name one way they can choose to follow God this week, even when it is hard. Maybe it means telling the truth, being kind to someone, or standing up for what is right.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for loving us and helping us follow You. Help us walk closely with You like Noah did. When the people around us make bad choices, give us the courage to make good ones. Help our family love You and obey You every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Day 2
Read: Genesis 6:14–22
Let’s Talk About It:
Imagine if God told you to build a giant boat because a flood was coming, but you had never seen a flood before! Would you think that sounded strange? Would you have lots of questions?
That is what makes Noah’s story so amazing. God told Noah to build a huge boat called an ark. God gave Noah specific instructions about how to build it and told him that a flood would cover the earth. He also told Noah to bring his family and animals into the ark.
Noah could not see the flood yet. He didn’t know exactly what was going to happen, but he knew God was trustworthy.
Genesis 6:22 tells us that Noah did everything God commanded him to do. Noah obeyed God even though he could not see what was coming!
Sometimes God asks us to do things that are hard or that we don’t completely understand. He might ask us to forgive someone who hurt our feelings, tell the truth when we are afraid of getting in trouble, or be kind to someone who has not been kind to us.
We may not always understand why God wants us to do something, but we can trust that His wisdom is greater than ours. Faith means trusting God even when we cannot see what will happen next.
Remember: We don’t have to understand everything to trust God!
Talk About It:
1. What did God ask Noah to do?
2. How did Noah show that he trusted God?
3. Can you think of a time when doing the right thing was difficult?
4. What can you do when you don’t understand what God wants you to do?
Family Challenge: Play a simple game of “Follow the Leader.” Take turns being the leader and giving everyone easy instructions to follow. Afterward, talk about how following instructions required listening and trust. Explain that we learn to trust God by getting to know Him and learning what His Word says.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You that we can trust You even when we don’t understand everything. Help us listen to Your Word and obey You. When doing the right thing feels hard, remind us that You are always faithful and wise. Help us have faith like Noah. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Day 3
Read: Hebrews 11:7
Let’s Talk About It:
Have you ever had to trust someone without knowing exactly what was going to happen? Maybe you got into a car without knowing the whole way to your destination, but you trusted your parent to get you there safely.
Trust means believing someone is dependable, even when you cannot see the whole plan.
That is what Noah did! Hebrews 11:7 tells us that Noah trusted God and built an ark because God warned him about things that had not yet happened. Noah believed God’s warning, followed His instructions, and prepared for the flood before he could see it.
Think about how much work Noah had to do! Building a huge boat took time and effort. He had to keep working even though the flood had not arrived yet. Other people may not have understood what he was doing, but Noah chose to believe God.
And when the flood came, God kept His promise. Noah and his family were safe inside the ark, just as God had instructed.
We can have that same kind of faith! We may not know what tomorrow will bring, but we know that God is faithful. We can pray for people, speak kindly, obey God's Word, and do what is right even when we don't know how everything will turn out.
Faith doesn't mean we will always know the answer. It means we know the One we can trust!
Remember: Real faith means trusting God enough to obey Him, even when we can’t see what will happen next!
Talk About It:
1. What did Noah believe God about?
2. Why did Noah build the ark before the flood came?
3. What is something God teaches us in the Bible that we can obey, even when it is difficult?
4. How can our family show faith in God this week?
Family Challenge: As a family, choose one way to put your faith into action this week. You could pray for someone who is hurting, forgive someone, help a neighbor, or tell the truth when it is difficult. Do it together as a way to practice trusting and obeying God!
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You that You always keep Your promises. Thank You for showing us through Noah that we can trust You, even when we cannot see what is coming. Help us have faith that leads us to obey Your Word. Give us courage when doing the right thing is hard, and help our family grow closer to You every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.
