Day 1
God Has a Plan for Us
Read: Genesis 12:1-4
Let's Talk About It:
Throughout this series, we have been learning about people in the Bible who had incredible faith!
- Abel's faith led him to worship God with an offering that pleased Him.
- Enoch's faith helped him walk so closely with God that he never experienced death!
- Noah's faith led him to build an ark before he had ever seen a flood.
- And today, we are learning about Abram, a man whose faith led him to move his entire family to a place he had never seen!
God told Abram to leave his home, his family, and everything familiar to him and go to a land that God would show him.
Can you imagine being told to pack everything you own and move, but you aren't allowed to know where you're going? You wouldn't know what your new house looked like, what the neighborhood was like, or what you would find when you got there!
That is exactly what God asked Abram to do. And do you know what Abram did? He obeyed!
Genesis 12:4 tells us that Abram went just as the Lord had told him.
Abram didn't have all the answers, but he knew the One who did! He trusted that God had a plan, even when he couldn't see what was coming next.
Sometimes God asks us to do things that might seem scary or difficult. Maybe it's being kind to someone who isn't kind to us, telling the truth when it's hard, or standing up for what is right. We might not always understand why God asks us to do something, but we can trust that His plans are good!
Talk About It:
1. What did God ask Abram to do?
2. Did Abram know where he was going before he left?
3. How do you think Abram felt when God told him to move?
4. Can you think of something God asks us to do that might feel scary or difficult?
Remember This: I don't have to know every step when I know God is leading me!
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for having a good plan for our lives. Help us to trust You even when we don't know what is going to happen next. Give us the faith to obey You, just like Abram did. We love You! Amen.

Day 2
God Will Lead Us
Read: Genesis 12:4-7
Let's Talk About It:
Have you ever been on a road trip somewhere new? Maybe you didn't know how to get there, but someone in your family knew the way. You didn't have to worry about finding the road because you trusted the person leading you!
That is a little like what happened with Abram.
God told Abram to leave his home and travel to a new land. Abram didn't have a map, directions, or a picture of where he was going. He simply had God's promise that He would show him the way.
And guess what? God did exactly what He promised!
Abram traveled with his wife, Sarai, his nephew Lot, all their belongings, and everyone who traveled with them. It was a big journey! But God led them along the way until they reached the land He had promised.
Abram's faith wasn't based on knowing what would happen. His faith was based on knowing God!
The same is true for us. We won't always know what tomorrow will bring. We may not know how something will work out, what decisions we will have to make, or what challenges we might face. But we can know that God is with us!
God leads us through His Word, the Bible. He teaches us how to live, how to love others, how to make good choices, and how to follow Him.
We don't have to be afraid of the unknown because we serve a God who already knows what is ahead!
Talk About It:
1. Did Abram know exactly where God was taking him?
2. Who led Abram along his journey?
3. How does God help lead us today?
4. What is something you might need to trust God with this week?
Remember This: God knows the way, even when I don't!
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for always knowing what is ahead. Help us remember that we can trust You when we don't understand everything. Help us listen to Your Word and follow the plans You have for us. Thank You for always being with us! Amen.

Day 3
Remember to Thank God Along the Way
Read: Genesis 12:7-9
Let's Talk About It:
Have you ever been on a really long trip? Maybe you traveled for hours to visit family or go on vacation. What did you do when you finally got there? Maybe you celebrated, ate something good, or told everyone how excited you were!
When Abram finally reached the land God had promised to show him, he did something very important.
He built an altar to the Lord!
In the Bible, people sometimes built altars to worship God, thank Him, and remember the things He had done for them.
Genesis 12:7-8 tells us that Abram built an altar and called on the name of the Lord. That means he prayed and worshiped God!
Think about how much had happened since Abram left his home. He had traveled a long way with his family and everything they owned. There were probably many things along the journey that could have made him nervous or afraid. But God had been faithful every step of the way!
Abram didn't just keep moving forward. He stopped to worship and thank God!
That is something we can learn from Abram. Sometimes we get so busy asking God for help with the next thing that we forget to thank Him for everything He has already done.
God takes care of us in big ways and little ways. He gives us our families, provides what we need, helps us through hard days, and stays with us wherever we go.
We should make time every day to stop, pray, worship, and thank Him!
Talk About It:
1. What did Abram build when he arrived in the land God promised?
2. Why do you think Abram built an altar?
3. What are some things God has done for your family that you can thank Him for?
4. What are some ways your family can remember to worship and thank God every day?
Family Challenge: Stop and Thank God!
Tonight, have everyone in the family share three things they are thankful for. They can be big things or little things!
Then take turns praying and thanking God for those blessings. Just like Abram, let's remember to stop along the way and give God praise for His goodness!
Remember This: Real faith helps me trust God and thank Him every step of the way!
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for always taking care of us. Thank You for leading us, providing for us, and loving us. Help us to have faith like Abram and trust You with every step. Remind us to stop and thank You for all the wonderful things You do. We love You! Amen.
