  1. Can they bring snacks to camp? Absolutely! They are welcome to bring small snacks, but please make sure they are in resealable bags. Snacks are available in the rec hall, but they are welcome to bring goodies that you know they will eat.

  1. How much money should I send? After you’ve paid the registration fees, nothing else is required. However, there are a few extras that can be purchased while at camp:
 • Concessions: The concession stand will be open each day of camp, if you would like to send snack money for your child. The items at the concession stand range from $.50-$5. Please send it in envelopes or ziplock bags labeled with your child's name (one for each day). For example, if I were sending money for Cayden, I would send envelopes labeled: “Cayden White-Wednesday money,” “Cayden White-Thursday money,” etc. We will collect the money from you before we leave for camp on Wednesday, and we will pass them out to the kids before we have time in the rec hall each day.

Art & Crafts: Arts and Crafts can be purchased for cost from $2-$5 each.

T-Shirts: Camp T-shirts can be purchased for $20 each. T-Shirts from previous years can also be purchased for $5, however sizes and availability are limited.

  1. What if my child can’t swim? At the lakefront, all campers and chaperones are required to wear a life vest. There are also certified lifeguards on duty. At the pool, all campers and chaperones must pass a swim test to be allowed to go into the deep end of the pool. When someone passes the swim test, they are given a bracelet to wear that shows they are allowed to be in the deep end. There are also certified lifeguards on duty at the pool.

  1. What if my child takes medication? If your child will be taking any form of medication during camp, a medical authorization form will need to be completed and turned in with the medicine when we leave for camp. The medicine will need to be in it’s original container. All medicine is stored with and administered by the camp nurse.

  1. What if my child has food allergies or special dietary needs? Please reach out to Tabitha and Gabi as soon as possible if your child has food allergies or special dietary needs. We will contact the camp director to see how accommodations can be made or if we would need to bring meals for them.

  1. Is there a severe weather plan? Yes. In the case of severe weather, the camp will go into a severe weather plan. All campers and chaperones will go into the basement of the chapel, until the storm has passed.

Kids Camp 2024
June 4th-7th

We are SO excited that your children will be joining us for kids camp this year! It’s going to be an incredible week, and we are praying for miracles in each of their lives.

This year, we will be leaving for camp on Wednesday, June 4th, at 12:00 p.m.. Please arrive at 11:40 a.m. to load luggage and have a final meeting before we leave.

When you arrive on Wednesday morning, please bring your child’s luggage to the front of the FLC. We will have a team ready to flag their luggage for their cabin and to load it into our vehicles.

After you have dropped off the luggage, please make sure to also drop off all concessions money, t-shirt money, and medications that your child may need. We will also have a medical authorization form that will need to be signed for each child that will be bringing any medication to camp. There will be three tables set up in the FLC foyer, so please make sure that you visit each one before you leave.

DRESS CODE

When packing your camper’s clothing and swimwear, please pack clothing that is age and appearance appropriate. No short shorts, no short skirts, no belly shirts, or halter tops, etc. For the lakefront activities, all male campers and volunteers should wear t-shirts and loose fitting swim trunks. All female campers and volunteers should wear t-shirts and shorts over their swimsuits. The swimming pool times are boys only or girls only, and swimsuits alone are fine there. All adults and campers should have a cover up, or t-shirt covering the swimsuit walking to and from the water activities. No clothing with inappropriate images or language will be allowed.

On Cabin Wars Day, the children will get muddy. Please pack clothing for your child that you don’t mind getting very dirty. There is no need to purchase new clothing for your child to attend camp. T-shirts and shorts are perfect attire for the camper during the daytime activities. For evening chapel, we suggest jeans or shorts and a t-shirt. If your daughter plans to wear a dress or skirt to the chapel services, please pack extra shorts that they can wear under their dress or skirt. This is typically what most campers wear, and this will enable your child to participate in the fun games during chapel. The chapel also tends to be cold, even in the summer, so you may want to send a light jacket. At no time will dress clothes be required!

And remember, kids lose stuff at camp. There is no way to prevent it. Be careful what you let them bring. Please do not send your child with a cellphone, as they are easily stolen. If they need to contact you or if you need to contact them, you can contact Tabitha, Gabi or Jason. Our cell phone numbers are available in this packet. Please remember cell phone service is not great at the camp, so we will respond as soon as we possibly can!
